Why is tape storage still embraced in the storage industry? In most other industries, tape would be considered legacy technology; it dates back to the 1950s! That’s pre-Atari! Pre-ATM machines! Pre-laptop computers, smartphones and iPods! So how is it possible that this technology is still being used by large, global companies today?
